What We Believe

Welcome!

North Pointe Church is full of people from many denominations and previous church experiences. With our diverse backgrounds in mind, we believe “In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty.” There are Truths of our faith that are non-negotiable and some traditions where we may lovingly have to agree to disagree. See what we believe below, the foundation of our faith and teachings.

We believe that the Bible…

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

1 Timothy 3:16

We believe in one eternal God…

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe that sin…

We believe that sin has separated each of us from a relationship with God and His purpose for our lives.

John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46

We believe that Jesus Christ…

We believe that Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

We believe that forgiveness…

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a restored relationship with God, we must repent of our sins, believe and trust in Jesus as our sacrifice and surrender to His will for our lives.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
