At North Pointe, we define discipleship as the life long, Holy Spirit guided process one goes through to become more like Jesus every day.

At North Pointe, Our Vision for Discipleship is Simple:
Connect with Others and Connect With God
It’s not enough to just attend church on a Sunday morning. Jesus wants us to pursue Him and to live a life that honors God’s Kingdom. That’s why we take discipleship seriously. We provide many opportunities at North Pointe to pursue Christ and grow as a disciple. These opportunities all come together to form a simple and cohesive discipleship plan that is focused around the Biblical truth that to grow as a disciple we must connect with others and connect with God.
Jesus’ ministry gives us the perfect blueprint for developing discipleship relationships. Jesus had a crowd of followers. Out of that crowd of followers was a community of twelve, His disciples. From that community came a core of three disciples who he had the deepest relationship with.
We strive to emulate this in our own discipleship blueprint. People start outside the church and move into the crowd as they begin to attend on a Sunday morning. Soon, they move from the crowd to community by joining a small group. The eventual goal is to move into the core by joining a D-group. Each level involves developing deeper relationships in more intimate settings. As our relationships grow with other believers, they also grow with Christ.

CLASSES
Classes at North Pointe play a crucial part of the Discipleship Plan by helping believers fill in gaps in their knowledge.

You cannot become more like Christ if you do not know who he is. We want you to know God, yourself, and see the world as God sees it. This is why we offer a variety of classes to help you grow in knowledge. Our classes cover a range of topics from spiritual basics, advanced theology, and practical life issues. COMMUNITY GROUPS
Community is the soil in which discipleship grows. That is why being involved regularly in one of the following Community Groups is an essential part of North Pointe’s Discipleship Plan.
Since discipleship happens in community, our goal is to move people from larger group formats into smaller group formats. As group size decreases, intimacy in relationships increases. As relational intimacy increases, the potential for discipleship and growth increases, too! The problem is that it can be intimidating to start right in those more intimate relationships, so instead we offer larger group settings first with the goal of moving people from those large settings into smaller more intimate settings. This provides a clear pathway to continue growing as you get to know others.

Community is a key part of discipleship. We want to make getting into community as easy as possible. That’s why at North Pointe we have Clubs. A club is a group of people who gather together around a common interest. If you are passionate about something, then chances are other people at North Pointe are, too! If we don’t have a club that matches your interests, then we can always start one. Check out our Clubs by clicking the button below.

Bible Studies are groups of people that meet together along with a teacher or leader. They learn together as they explore God’s Word. Meetings feel more like classes. Bible Studies also have a set end date. Check out our available Bible Studies by clicking the button below.

Small groups are intentional community groups that gather together on a regular basis to pray together, grow together, and share life together. Groups meet in member’s homes to spend time with each other, sometimes share a meal, and explore God’s word. Find out which small groups are currently open by using the button below.

Discipleship Groups, or D-Groups, are intentional, gender based groups of three or four believers who meet together on a regular basis to disciple each other. D-Groups commit themselves to regular spiritual practices, like bible reading and prayer, in order to develop as a disciple of Christ. These goal of these groups is to foster deep spiritual relationships among the members. Use the button below to learn more and sign up for a D-Group.
