Pastor Steve Wells has been serving North Pointe Church since before it was planted in 2004 and has been the Senior Pastor since 2011. He is passionate about finding creative ways to communicate the gospel message of Jesus. Steve’s heart beats for the body of Christ to be equipped and activated to Live Sent – across the street and around the world. He shepherds the NPC family with humility, humor, and authenticity and challenges us all to be led by the Holy Spirit, look for where God is at work, and join Him.
Steve also serves on the Board of Directors for Church United, a network of churches partnering together to see the gospel move throughout the Tampa Bay region. He has a special love for encouraging and supporting other pastors.
Steve has 3 young adult children – Seth (and Reese), Jada Grace, and Jordan (and Jeremiah) and is expecting his first grandson this year! In 2022, his wife Janna went home to be with the Lord after a two year courageous battle with cancer. The Father has been so faithful to be with the Wells family throughout a season of grief and healing. God truly is near to the brokenhearted and brings beauty from ashes.
